S6 Edge: A Pic A Day - Day 18

It's Labour Day in Singapore and that means several sites that are usually closed to the public open their doors for the day. The plan was to visit the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station (my first time there!) in the morning, hit a dim sum spot for lunch before ambling over to the Istana.

The visit to the Istana had to be postponed though till the next public holiday as there was a long queue just to get in and we had no wish to barbeque ourselves in the sun.

Only the tracks at the station have not been removed.

You wouldn't guess it but an expressway lies to the left of that structure.
